Collaborating with remote developers to remap user journeys to simpler, more streamlined experiences.

To Do Lists

To Do Lists

Be Intent is a health & wellbeing app that helps user stay organized, set and keep goals, and live a healthier life. I helped conceive and develop some of its many tools, one of which was the daily to-do list. This was designed to encourage regular engagement with the platform and help users prioritize their tasks and stay focused during their week. You'd get a notification at a time you chose, to fill out your three top priorities for that day. You could also add other items in a "later" tab. The idea was for it to take less than two minutes.

WHAT WAS ACHIEVED
  • The feature was shipped on time with users reporting an experience that was "quick, easy and seamless"

  • Developed an efficient collaboration workflow with developers from offshore with regular video calls and detailed design flows and instructions.

Choose My Day redesign

Choose My Day redesign

"Choose my day" was a cornerstone tool of the Be Intent platform, because it allowed users to reflect on their mood at the beginning and end of each day. Because it was a forced process on first login, we were finding that users got overwhelmed with too many options, and would wind up just "choosingh anything" to get through the process faster. This made the data less useful. My aim was to simplify the interface and process, while still offering relevant options to users.

WHAT WAS ACHIEVED
  • Users reported less overwhelm of information and confusion from multiple steps when using the tool.

  • By allowing the option to do a "quick run" (select only the main emotions without adding the optional sub categories), we found they were more likely to accurately complete the process, making the information more useful for them to have and review.

Navigation redesign (Research & POC)

For my UX course project, I decided to redesign the layout of the Be Intent web platform, with the aim being to increase engagement by making the tools easier to find and navigate. The experience was a great introduction to the process and fundamental principles of UX design.

WHAT WAS ACHIEVED
  • Journey maps and customer personas created

  • User testing of current state of the tool from volunteers, with friction points noted

  • High value action points collated out of insights and visual solutions drafted

  • Wireframes and prototypes created out of action points

  • Further user testing carried out to validate changes

  • Proposal of high-fi designs and prototype presented with improvement points noted

Other Be Intent projects

Be Intent was jam packed with tools that we wanted users to be able to easily jump between. I was involved in the design or redesign of many of these to not only add function, but to simplify them and improve accessibility.

WHAT WAS ACHIEVED
  • (Left) A notification screen I created for users to track and dismiss important system alerts.

  • (Middle) The My Intents page let users set how often and what type of posts, or "Intents" they'd receive on their feed throughout the day to help inspire and motivate them.

  • (Right) Rate your day provided a check-in point for users to reflect on their day, and compare it to the data they entered at the start of the day. It also provided an opportunity to check how well their current Be Intent setup was serving them, and if any tweaks were required.

Other Be Intent projects

I was involved in the design or redesign of many of the areas of Be Intent to boost engagement and ease of use. On the left is the notification screen I created for users to track and dismiss important system alerts. The My Intents page in the middle let you set how often and what type of posts, or "Intents" you'd receive on your feed throughout the day to help inspire and motivate you. The screen on the right shows the end-of-day rating system. This was how you could keep track of both your mood, and of how well your Be Intent setup was actually helping you.
